"We Live, we die, and the wheels on the bus go round and round."
Rock On〜

When I was back in Brisbane last time, My parents rented out
"The Bucket List" DVD.
They watched it and told me that it's a very heart touching story
and that I should watch it too. They also felt that the message
that I get from watching this movie at my current age, is totally
different to the message that they get from watching this movie
at their current age. Back then I had no idea what they were
on about, so I just said "Cool, what ever~" and didn't think more of it.
So a few days ago, I decided to head to the local DVD rental shop to
rent "The Bucket List". In Japan, some movies have their own
Japanese Titles, so it took me a while to find it.
The movie is about 2 old guys Edward Cole and Carter Chambers
(Jack Nicholson, Morgan Freeman) who has nothing in common
for their terminal illnesses. Sharing a hospital room together,
they decide to leave it and do all the things they have ever wanted
to do before they die according to their bucket list. In the process,
both of them heal each other, become unlikely friends, and ultimately
find the joy in life.
It's been a while since I watched a heart moving film.
I felt that friendship is a really important part of life.
These guys, over the age of 60, making new friends in their
last few months of their lives, that they can treasure forever.
Life should be enjoyed, but nothing will happen if you just sit there.
You gotta get up and find your happiness and joy.
Jack Nicholson's character says:
"We Live, we die, and the wheels on the bus go round and round."
I think the message there is that we only live once, so
live your life to the max with no regrets.
It was really touching to hear Jack's character say
"The last months of his life, were the best months of mine."
You gotta watch the film to understand the meaning!
I recommend this movie to you all~
I would love to watch it again, but not too soon.
Maybe 10 years, 20 years from now.
I've got a feeling that I might see something different then.
Rock On〜
